Roquetas de Mar is the middle of the ‘Plastic Sea,’ a huge extension of greenhouses so big you can see it from space. The town's population has almost quadrupled in size since 1990 to more than 110,000. A third of the town’s population are immigrants, from Romania, Latin America and from North and West Africa. Those from Africa are mostly from a Muslim background. They’ve come for work and for opportunity, but many find themselves exploited, impoverished and trapped. There are a few churches in the area, but there is a need for contextualized gospel outreach to the local Muslim community.
WHO WE ARE
We are a team of vibrant disciples who long to develop a community in Roquetas de Mar where immigrants from a Muslim background are drawn to Jesus and follow Him through contextualized evangelism and discipleship. We want to reach those in need, the vulnerable and marginalized, loving them with Christ’s love so as to ‘shine light into the darkness’ 2 Corinthians 4:6-style.

We walk alongside residents of Roquetas de Mar who are of Muslim origin, sharing our lives and our faith, learning together, and creating a close, accessible community.

Come pray with us! Spend time walking through Roquetas de Mar and praying over every plaza and apartment building, and for the individuals you meet, laying the groundwork for relational ministry.
